Harbor House Recovery (Men)
A transitional, sober-living home for motivated individuals to overcome addictions. The programming is a one-year structured program with an Intensive Outpatient Program, requirements for working, and involvement in the community.
This stand-alone apartment complex features 10 units. Each apartment is a two-bedroom unit providing residents their own room and a shared kitchen. Recovery opportunities are available for up to twenty men at any given time. The residence also offers a gathering room for social activity including an on-site gym, computer, pool table, and laundry facilities.
Harbor House accepts men from all walks of life who are committed to recovery and self-sufficiency. Through Case Management and regular meetings, we offer the client an opportunity to be supported while gaining independence and self-reliance. Homeward Pikes Peak works with a variety of agencies who can assist in job placement.
The following commitment are required of Harbor House residents:
- Gain full-time employment or provide proof of legal income
- Individuals with on-going legal income (SSDI, SSI, retirement and the like) must volunteer in the community
- Once a week, clients must attend:
- A house meeting
- Attend recovery-based workshops and provided life skill programs
- Attend peer coaching or participate in a recovery community (such as AA)
- Meetings with the Case Manager
- Responsible for regular house and room chores
- Pay $650 per month in fees

Project Detour (Women)
Empowering women to overcome alcohol and opioid use disorders, homelessness, and involvement with the criminal justice system.
A transitional, sober-living home for women who are currently homeless or are struggling with substance abuse.
Project Detour is the transitional, women’s sober home managed by Homeward Pikes Peak. Located in a traditional home setting, the house features nine bedrooms in which women reside alongside one another to live, learn, and grow.
Each of Homeward Pikes Peak’s recovery residence programs provide the client an opportunity to be supported while gaining independence and self-reliance. Each program works to create a circle of support that promotes recovery, promotes life skills, and rebuild relationships with self and family.
At this time, Project Detour only accepts women exiting incarceration on probation or parole or referred to Homeward Pikes Peak by the Department of Human Services. Clients must have 14 days of clean urine analysis before entry to the house can be made.
We ask the following commitments of our clients in Project Detour:
- Work 29 hours per week
- Once a week, clients must attend:
- A house meeting
- A house AA meeting
- A meeting with a Recovery Coach
- Meet with the Case Manager
- Attend IOP or EOP
- Responsible for regular house and room chores
- Pay $650 per month in fees
Since 2018, Project Detour has graduated thirty women from the Project Detour program. This number is approximately 71% of the entrants into the Project Detour program.
