Harbor House Recovery (Men)

A transitional, sober-living home for motivated individuals to overcome their struggles with addiction, mental health, and homelessness. 

The programming is a one-year structured program with requirements for sobriety, treatment planning and goals, employment, and involvement in the community.
This stand-alone apartment complex features 10 units including a unit that is ADA accessible. Each apartment is a fully furnished, two-bedroom unit providing residents with their own room and shared living space. Recovery opportunities are available for up to twenty men at any given time. The residence also offers a community room for social activities including gym equipment, computer access, TV, and laundry facilities.

Harbor House accepts men from all walks of life who are committed to recovery and self-sufficiency. Harbor House is the only recovery residence that accepts single fathers with full custody of their children. Through Case Management, regular meetings and community support, we offer the client an opportunity to gain independence and self-reliance. 

Homeward Pikes Peak works with a variety of agencies who can assist with treatment options, peer support, job placement, and resources to successfully reintegrate into the community. 

The following commitments are required of Harbor House residents:

  • Gain full-time employment/Provide proof of legal income
  • Individuals with on-going legal income (SSDI, SSI, retirement and the like) must volunteer in the community
  • Program requirements include:
  • Weekly House Meeting and Life Skills Group 
  • Attend recovery-based support groups/participate in a recovery community (such as 12 step groups, Wellbriety, SMART, etc)
  • Individual therapy
  • Outpatient treatment 
  • Peer coaching services
  • Meetings with the Case Manager for treatment planning/resource support
  • Weekly UA’s/BA’s 
  • Responsible for regular house and room chores
  • Pay $650 per month in fees
