Project Detour (Women)

Empowering women to overcome alcohol and opioid use disorders, homelessness, and involvement with the criminal justice system.
A transitional, sober-living home for women who are currently homeless or are struggling with substance abuse.

Project Detour is the transitional, women’s sober home managed by Homeward Pikes Peak. Located in a traditional home setting, the house features nine bedrooms where women live, learn, and grow together.

Each of Homeward Pikes Peak’s recovery residence programs provides clients with the opportunity to receive support while gaining independence and self-reliance. Each program works to create a circle of support that promotes recovery, promotes life skills, and rebuilds relationships with self and family.

Clients must have 14 days of clean urine analysis before entry to the house is permitted.

We ask the following commitments from our clients in Project Detour:

  • Work 29 hours per week
  • Once a week, clients must attend:
    • A house meeting
    • A house AA meeting
    • A meeting with a Recovery Coach
    • Meet with the Case Manager
    • Attend IOP or EOP
    • Responsible for regular house and room chores
    • Pay $650 per month in fees
